GARY – Olympic Steel of Bedford Heights, Ohio, has purchased a building at the U.S. Steel Gary Works for use as a temper mill.
Olympic acquired the building for $4.3 million, but plans to invest a total of $25 million in the project. Production will begin in 2012.
At the same time, Olympic announced it had acquired Chicago Tube and Iron.
