Attorney Michael Tolbert of Hoeppner Wagner & Evans was presented the 2014 Rabb Emison Organization Award at the Indiana State Bar Association’s Annual Meeting on October 8th. The award was presented by ISBA’s Diversity Committee in recognition of an individual and organization that demonstrates “a commitment to promote diversity and equality in the legal profession and in the membership of the State Bar.” Mr. Tolbert currently serves as the President of the Lake County Bar Association and has previously served as president of the James C. Kimbrough Bar Association. He serves on numerous boards and is active in his community. In 2013 was named one of the top African-American lawyers in the Midwest by the Lawyers of Color, an organization recognized by the American Bar Association.
