GARY – Ian McFadden, president and CEO of Methodist Hospitals, has been named Outstanding Chair by the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation for chairing the 2011 Northwest Indiana Walk to Cure Diabetes.
More than 1,500 workers representing corporations, families, schools and other organizations took part in the 12th annual Walk to Cure Diabetes last October at Wicker Memorial Park.
The goal of the walk is to support research to find a cure for diabetes. Three million Americans suffer from type-1 diabetes.
