WASHINGTON, D.C. – U.S. Sen. Richard Lugar, R-Indianapolis, will receive the National Association of Manufacturers Award for Manufacturing Legislative Excellence for his consistent support of manufacturing in the United States.
“Sen. Lugar has demonstrated a true understanding of manufacturing’s key role in our economy and has acted to maintain and create manufacturing jobs in Indiana and across the nation,” said John Engler, CEO of the National Association of Manufacturing.
Members of Congress with a voting record of 70 percent or higher during the 111th Congress will receive the award. Lugar had a 92 percent vote rate.
