>HAMMOND — The Indiana Welcome Center’s annual exhibit, “A Christmas Story” Comes Home, kicks off with “A Major Event” on Saturday, Dec. 6, from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm.

While viewing the exhibit, which includes six animated window scenes created based on iconic scenes from the movie, visitors may also vote on their favorite trees that are decorated by local businesses and organizations. “A Major Event” will also include live entertainment and viewings of the holiday classic “A Christmas Story” in the theater at 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm.
