HAMMOND — The Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana has received a generous grant award from ArcelorMittal to introduce its newest mission, Earth Odyssey, to local educators and their students.
The Earth Odyssey mission will focus on our home planet, the effects of humans and weather on the planet, and the technology involved in effective Earth observations.
Center Director Becca Manis said, “ArcelorMittal’s support demonstrates their commitment to the future. The students who visit us could find their place in a spacecraft headed to Mars or a control pulpit at ArcelorMittal. ArcelorMittal understands the importance of planting the seeds that will grow the workers and leaders of the future through their support of STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) programs like ours.”
