Cargill donates $13,500 to Housing Opportunities

PORTAGE – Cargill, based at the Port of Indiana in Burns Harbor, has announced a donation of $13,500 to Housing Opportunities to assist its food pantry at the Spring Valley Homeless Shelter.

Additionally, Cargill employees volunteered their time in April by cleaning, painting, installing shelves and stocking the pantry.

“We are excited to join Housing Opportunities in its mission to provide housing solutions to people in need in Northwest Indiana,” said Ryan McCoy, Cargill plant manager.
