CHESTERTON – Life Strategies, LLC has announced the opening of a new autism and learning center in Chesterton. The Blooming Potential Autism & Learning Center is designed for children with autism and other developmental delays who demonstrate communication, learning, and social challenges.

The center uses an evidence-based approach for treatment called Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA). According to U.S. Surgeon General’s report “Mental Health: A Report of the Surgeon General”, ABA’s “thirty years of research demonstrated the efficacy of applied behavioral methods in reducing inappropriate behavior and in increasing communication, learning, and appropriate social behavior.” The American Academy of Pediatrics states, “The effectiveness of ABA-based intervention in ASDs has been well documented.” Life Strategies, LLC has developed the center so families can access evidence-based methodologies for the treatment of Autism Spectrum Disorders.

Children can receive one-on-one therapy instruction at home and/or in the center. Children can also participate in group programming to learn new skills, build peer relationships, and prepare for school. Life Strategies is currently accepting registration forms for both in-home and in-center ABA programs.
