CROWN POINT — On Friday and Saturday, April 18-19, 2014 a Health and Wellness Expo will be held at the Radisson Star Plaza Hotel in Merrillville, Indiana. Hosted by the Foundation for Molecular Medicine (FFMM) of Crown Point, this annual event will include exhibitors, demonstrations, health screenings, presentations and celebrity guests.

The Expo opens on Friday at 10:00 a.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m. Special demonstrations will range from a pitching clinic conducted by one of the finest pitchers in Valparaiso history Tim Holmes, to Zumba sessions led by Valparaiso’s YMCA. The complete schedule for the Friday lineup includes:

10:00 a.m. Pitching Clinic with Tim Holmes
11:00 a.m. Zumba, Valparaiso YMCA
12:00 p.m. Yoga by Laughter Yoga 4 U, Munster
1:00 p.m. Nutrition by Sarah Leep Natural Answers, Griffith
3:00 p.m. Yoga by Laughter Yoga 4 U

On Saturday, the Expo opens at 8:00 a.m., continues until 4:00 p.m. and the lineup includes:

10:00 a.m. Taltree Arboretum and Gardens, Valparaiso
11:00 a.m. Zumba, Valparaiso YMCA
12:00 p.m. Nutrition by Sarah Leep, Natural Answers, Griffith
1:00 p.m. Indiana Ballet Theatre
2:00 p.m. and again at 3:00 p.m. UFC Gym, Merrillville

The expo is a fundraising event which promises information, fun and excitement for the entire family. To support the work of the Foundation for Molecular Medicine, which is a non-profit organization that focuses on cancer research, early detection, and education on health and wellness programs that prevent cancer and other degenerative diseases, the Expo is open to the public for a nominal fee of $4, which is discounted by half with a coupon that can be obtained from the website www.ffmm.org.
