HAMMOND – The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority is seeking entries in its annual Ugliest Lamp Contest. Lamps can be dropped off between Oct. 20 and Nov. 12 at the Indiana Welcome Center, 7770 Corinne Drive.
The contest is a tribute to the 1983 movie, “A Christmas Story,” in which Mr. Parker wins a major award of a leg lamp.
Visitors will vote on the ugliest lamp from Nov. 12 to Dec. 16 and winners will be announced Dec. 19. Last year, more than 20 lamps were entered in the contest.
