HAMMOND – The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority and the Radisson Hotel at Star Plaza received the 2012 Supplier STAR Award for their Bring It Home Campaign reception. The Supplier Awards are Awards of Excellence Under $750,000 Annual Budget.
Bring It Home was held to inform groups of the economic impact of hosting conferences and conventions in the area. Twenty-two professional members of associations and organizations with ambassador potential to bring their next meeting or event to the South Shore area were invited.
The effort allowed for conferences and meetings to be booked along the South Shore of Lake Michigan in 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015 and 2018.
