SOUTH BEND – Indiana Main Street has honored the South Bend Chocolate Café with its 2012 Indiana Main Street Business of the Year Award. The program is sponsored by the Indiana Office of Community and Rural Affairs.
“Downtown districts are the heart of Hoosier cities and towns, and they are a key component of any community’s economic success,” said Lt. Gov. Becky Skillman. She described South Bend Chocolate Café as a downtown anchor and destination.
“Their contribution, day in and day out, to the overall well-being and vitality is felt by all who visit,” said Julie Curtis, director of marketing for Downtown South Bend. “They are a community partner that can always be counted on and their generous spirit and love for the community make this business an outstanding example of how great partnerships can transform a community.”
