CHESTERTON – Sand Creek Country Club has selected two recipients for its Alice Wesson Scholarship.

Josh Kalita and Nicolas Teall have received the scholarship, which is named after former Sand Creek employee Alice Wesson. She worked at the country club for 18 years and was killed in an auto accident Sept. 1, 2000. The scholarship was created to benefit her heirs, Sand Creek employees and their children.

Teall has been with Sand Creek since 2005 and is a busser/host in the dining room. He is in his second year Purdue University North Central where he is studying nursing. He plans to become an emergency room nurse at a large hospital.
