VALPARAISO – Porter-Starke Services will host a mental health and substance abuse awareness breakfast Friday, Aug. 27. The keynote speaker is Steve Ford, an actor and son of former President Gerald Ford. His topic is, “Living Health, Balance and Hope.”
Ford plans to talk about how is life was challenged with mental health issues and substance abuse and how the importance of character, integrity and making the right choices can lead to transforming the human spirit.
Businesses and the community are invited to attend the breakfast at Valparaiso University’s Harre Union from 8 to 10 a.m. Tickets are $50.
