MUNSTER – Peoples Bank reported first quarter net income of $1.4 million, up 15.5 percent from $1.2 million one year ago. Earnings were 48 cents per share, up from 41 cents last year.
While net income was down to $5.9 million, income from fees and services rose to $1.6 million.
Peoples has $668.5 million in assets at the end of March. It operates 12 branches in Lake and Porter counties.
