GARY – Ozinga Indiana Ready Mix Concrete has received a $140,384 grant to convert six of its diesel trucks to run on compressed natural gas.
Ozinga is one of five companies in Indiana sharing in a federal energy efficiency grant of more than half a million dollars. As part of the grant, Ozinga will work with South Shore Clean Cities and the Northwestern Indiana Regional Planning Commission to create a community-wide forum on the use of compressed natural gas.
