MERRILLVILLE – MonoSol has announced that the Islamic Food and Nutrition Council of America has certified its MonoDose films as halal, or permissible. That means the film can be consumed by practicing Muslims.
Halal certification is granted when a product is aligned with Islamic dietary guideline.
MonoSol, based in Merrillville, also has a plant in Portage and LaPorte, makes water soluble films used in household products.
