HAMMOND – The South Shore Convention and Visitors Authority will host a special event for all fire, police, EMS, military and Hoosier Helpers to say thank you for their service.
Holiday for Heroes: A Special Evening of Appreciation, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 6. Attendees may take a free photo with Santa and enjoy light refreshments. There also will be a station available to write a letter or color a picture to send to military troops overseas.
To participate, bring your police, fire, EMS, military or Hoosier Helper ID to the Indiana Welcome Center at I-80/94 and Kennedy Avenue. For more information, call Bethany Randolph at (219) 554-2229.
