IBA’s DeHaven is executive of the year

            INDIANAPOLIS – S. Joe DeHaven, president and chief executive officer of the Indiana Bankers Association has been named Association Executive of the Year for 2010 by the Indiana Society of Association Executives.

            DeHaven joined the IBA in 2006 and has led the organization through a merger and guided it through one of the worst recessions in decades. Before joining the IBA, DeHaven was CEO of the Community Bankers Association of Indiana, which merged with the IBA in 2006.

            He is a trustee of the Graduate School of Banking in Wisconsin; board member of the Indiana Statewide Certified Development Corp.; member of the New Market Tax Credit Committee of the Great Lakes Capital Fund for Housing; trustee of the American Bankers Association Education Foundation; and assistant treasurer and board member of the Indiana Legal Foundation.
