In-person sports betting now is available at the Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana.

The casino, which celebrates its first anniversary May 14, opened its sportsbook May 11. The sportsbook is on the north end of the casino, adjacent to the Hard Rock Café.

Wagering will be available on all major sports as well as tennis, golf, UFC, NASCAR and more. Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana will not offer horse betting.

The sportsbook will also offer 25 wagering kiosks, which will be accessible 24/7.

“I’m very excited to finally announce the opening of (the) sportsbook as a great addition to our other gaming amenities,” said Matt Schuffert, president of Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana.

The Hard Rock’s anniversary celebration on May 14 will include free performances at the Hard Rock Café stage by hip hop artist Grandmaster Flash and blues band The Kinsey Report, originally from Gary.

The Hard Rock Casino Northern Indiana, which is located next to the I-80/94 Burr Street interchange, is a two-phase $300 million development. The casino, food venues, retail store, sportsbook and 1,954-seat showroom were the first phase with the second phase featuring a 200-plus-room hotel and multi-level parking garage.
