HAMMOND – The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced that work to replace the nine-span bridge on Indianapolis Boulevard in East Chicago will likely take place next year.
The bridge has been rated in poor condition by INDOT and was repaired eight years ago. The replacement is part of the work being done to expand the Gibson Yard in Hammond, where Potash is involved in a $60 million expansion project.
