GARY – The Gary Airport Authority has awarded its final runway expansion contract for signal and track work to Railworks Track Service of LaPorte. The company is part of Railworks Corp. of New York City.
The work calls for installing ballast, railroad ties, track and signals for the realignment of track through the airport. Work on the project is scheduled to end in June 2013, which would then allow for final concrete and paving work.
