VALPARAISO – Design Organization, a sustainable planning, architecture and interiors firm with offices in Chicago and Valparaiso, has become a division of Shive-Hattery Inc.
Shive-Hattery was founded in 1895 and is a 350-person architecture and engineering firm with nine locations in Illinois, Indiana, Iowa and Missouri.

Design Organization will operate with the same leadership team and staff. “Most importantly our cultures share the same values. Combining these two legacy firms provides tremendous growth opportunities,” said Spero Valavanis, principal of Design Organization. “This provides our clients with expanded planning, architecture, and interior design resources as well as integrated engineering capabilities over a much broader geographic area.”
