VALPARAISO – Chester Inc. Architectural & Construction Services has broken ground on a $17 million forging facility for Modern Drop Forge Co. in Merrillville.
The project encompasses 40 acres and includes a 230,000 square foot building for production and distribution of high-quality, closed die forging products. Completion is scheduled for December.
In addition, Chester has begun construction of the Gilmer Park Animal Clinic on U.S. 31 in South Bend. Veterinarians Ken and Elise Kaucic will move to the 7,000 square foot clinic when it opens in May.
