INDIANAPOLIS – The Indiana District Office of the U.S. Small Business Administration has recognized Centier Bank of Munster as its Third Party Lender of the Year.
Centier contributed to 12 SBA loans in 2001, accounting for $16.2 million in projects. It contributed 8 percent of all SBA loans in the state.
One project was worth $9.7 million and was cited as the largest project in the history of the Indiana SBA program. As a result of the loans, 160 jobs were created or retained.
Statewide, the SBA guaranteed 1,451 loans worth more than $520 million.
“It’s always rewarding to be recognized for the hard work we do as a bank in providing credit and support to the businesses in our communities,” said Darrell Jaggers, senior partner and manager of Centier’s lending division.
