KENTLAND – Bonnell Aluminum, an extrusion plant, has announced it will close its Newton County operation this summer. The closing will put 146 people out of work. HIGHLAND – Prompt Ambulance Service of Highland has acquired the three Indiana locations of Keeney Ambulance and Transport Service. The acquisition price was not announced. Prompt acquired the operations in Rensselaer, Lafayette and Frankfort. Prompt said it plans to retain all 70 of Keeney’s employees. The acquisition puts Prompt into new areas in the state.
MUNSTER – Citizens Financial Bank reported a loss of $12.6 million in the fourth quarter, compared to net income of $918,000 a year ago.
