MERRILLVILLE – RLJ Development has completed renovation on the 78-room Residence Inn in Merrillville, converting the property into an upscale hotel. The 15-year-old hotel is at the intersection of U.S. 30 and Interstate 65 and is managed by White Lodging Services. The work included new carpeting, new lighting, new wall covering and a new patio.
GARY – Peter M. Liguori has been named CEO and president at Majestic Star Casino. He will take over on March 8. Most recently, Liguori was president of HGMI Gaming, formerly Hyatt Gaming Management, and also was vice president of finance for Ameristar Casinos. Majestic Star operates two casino boats at Buffington Harbor in Gary.
