United Way to host homebuyer fair

The United Way of Northwest Indiana will host an autumn first-time homebuyer vendor fair Nov. 9.

The free fair is designed to help prospective buyers prepare for their first home. Attendees will have the opportunity to learn about resources. They will also have access to real estate agents, lenders, home appraisers and other industry professionals.

Prospective homeowners will be able to explore a variety of home ownership options. They can learn about down payment assistance programs, home financing, mortgage pre-approval and other homebuying processes. Attendees can also learn tips for transitioning into their new homes.

The homebuyer vendor fair will take place 10 a.m. to noon Nov. 9 at the Dean & Barbara White Community Center in Merrillville. Learn more here.
