Melody Brucker, who began her career with Comcast in 1996, was promoted to vice president of operations for the company's greater Chicago region, which includes Northern Indiana.

Along with Illinois and southwest Michigan, Brucker will oversee field and fulfillment operations. She also will be tasked with improving employee and customer experiences by implementing new processes.

Brucker, who has served in many roles at the company, most recently was the senior director of technical operations for the greater Chicago region.

She received a Bachelor of Science from Fort Hayes State University in Hays, Kansas.

Comcast is a global media and technology company that employees about 5,000 people in the greater Chicago area.
