GARY – Mereivelyn Stuber has been named president of the Northwest Indiana Patient Safety Coalition. She currently is patient safety officer for Methodist Hospitals in Gary.

Stuber has been with Methodist for 23 years.

The coalition is made up of representatives of area health care systems and academic institutions and provides a forum for area healthcare professionals to collaborate on quality and patient safety issues.
