MICHIGAN CITY – Kris Pate has been named executive director of the United Way of LaPorte County. She takes over from Bill Hanna, who resigned in December.
Pate is a native of LaPorte County but has spent the past five years in Pittsburgh. She previously worked at Dunebrook, a child abuse advocacy center in LaPorte County.
Pate was introduced during the United Way’s annual breakfast at Blue Chip Casino.
