LAPORTE – Tim Gropp, executive director of the Greater LaPorte Economic Development Corp., has left that position to take a similar position with the town of Fishers near Indianapolis.

Gropp, 34, has been director in LaPorte since 2006.

Gropp was appointed to the position in LaPorte by former Mayor Leigh Morris, who praised Gropp saying he is an example of how a young person with potential lives up their career potential.
