Challenger Learning Center to Host Space Race

HAMMOND — The Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana will be hosting a Space Race 5K run/2K walk on Sunday, September 22. Beginning at 8:00 a.m., participants will race through Purdue University Calumet’s campus.

The race is open to participants of all ages and costs $15 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under to register online through Sept. 20. Participants may mail-in their registration through Sept. 20 for $20 for adults and $15 for children 12 and under. Race-day registration will be accepted from 7:00 a.m. to 7:45 a.m. and will cost $25 for all participants.

The Space Race 5K run/2K walk will benefit the Challenger Learning Center of Northwest Indiana and assist the organization with its mission to offer science education learning opportunities for educators, school groups, businesses and communities.
