Purdue programs receive high rankings

            WEST LAFAYETTE – Purdue University’s engineering, education and business programs have been ranked among the best in the country according to U.S. News & World Report magazine.

            “We are pleased that Purdue continues to be recognized for its strengths in education and research at the graduate level,” said France A. Cordova, president of the university. “These rankings remind us that Purdue’s faculty excels in their fields of study and that they continue to be praised for their roles as educators.”

            Purdue’s College of Engineering was ranked 11th in the country, tied with the University of Southern California. Last year, Purdue was ranked 13th.

            Purdue’s College of Education was ranked 43rd, tied with Florida State university and the University of Colorado. The program has climbed steadily from a ranking of 68th in 2008.

            The Krannert School of Management was ranked 49th overall, tied with Michigan State University.
