VALPARAISO – The United Way of Porter County, along with the Indiana Nonprofit Resource Network, is holding a workshop on how to reduce poverty in the community.
“Bridges Out of Poverty” will be from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ivy Tech Community College Auditorium, 3100 Tech Drive, Valparaiso. Cost is $35 and includes lunch and materials.
Participants will learn how to use mental models to communicate effectively and assist clients from poverty to learn quickly and explore options.
