LaPorte County hosts rural summit

            WANATAH – The fourth LaPorte County Rural Summit, “Think Regionally, but Act Locally,” will be from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (CST) Tuesday, March 15, at the Wanatah American Legion Hall, 203 S. Washington St.

            The morning session will focus on “What’s Happening in Northwest Indiana” and “Our Future to 2040.” In the afternoon, suggestions for individual communities will be discussed.

            Representatives of LaCrosse, Wanatah, Hanna, Kingsford Heights, Westville, Kingsbury, Union Mills, Stillwell, Fish Lake, Mill Cree, Rolling Prairie, Coolspring Township, Springfield Township, and Door Village/Scipio Township are expected to attend.

            Sponsors are Purdue Extension of LaPorte County, Leadership LaPorte County, LaPorte County Economic Development Alliance, Unity Foundation, Purdue North Central, and the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
