Michael Riehle recently was named president of chamber services for the La Porte Economic Advancement Partnership.
Riehle has spent 26 years in the financial services industry most recently in banking as a commercial lender. The partnership was launched in February when the Greater La Porte Chamber of Commerce and the Greater La Porte Economic Development Corp. announced the organizations would move into a shared location but continue operating as separate entities with separate boards of directors.
Riehel has provided his time, serving the community in a volunteer capacity for local non-profits, community boards and municipal associations. He has previously served as president of La Porte Urban Enterprise Association; president of La Porte Community Development Partnership; a Slicer Champions mentor advisory committee member; the La Porte County Family YMCA finance committee and past board member; Kiwanis of La Porte board member; and founder of DeCamp's Band of Brothers Foundation.
Riehl said he looks forward to taking advantage of the positive momentum in La Porte and adding value to area businesses looking to partner in the growing community.
