Michigan City– Resident, Rick A. Richards, contributing business editor for Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly, suffered a fatal heart attack and died Saturday, July 20, after successfully competing in a three-mile obstacle mudathlon. Publisher, Glee Renick-May, received the tragic news from Rick's beloved wife, Mary Ann Richards,  while attending a memorial for a former classmate who also died unexpectedly a few days prior.  “I was stunned and greatly saddened by the news.  He was a valued colleague and a magazine team member who contributed greatly to our organization. Rick will be deeply missed.  Our prayers and thoughts now are with his family.”
