MERRILLVILLE — The annual ‘Heels for Meals’ fundraising benefit for Meals on Wheels Northwest Indiana is Sept. 6 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the Villa Cesare in Schererville.
This year’s event theme is “Brazilian Carnival.” The cocktail party event features party games and a “Swanky Soles” shoe and sock competition.
All proceeds benefit the Meals on Wheels endowment funds at Legacy Foundation and Crown Point Community Foundation, which provide long-term funding to sustain the organization.
“Heels for Meals is an opportunity to ensure the healthy meal delivery and wellness check Meals on Wheels provides will be here for every generation in Northwest Indiana,” said Sandra Noe, executive director of Meals on Wheels Northwest Indiana. “The event raises awareness about the 350,000 meals delivered annually to our neighbors in need – all while having a fantastic time together.”
