SOUTH BEND – Ivy Tech Community College has announced that two administrators have retired.
Chuck Philip, vice chancellor for academic affairs, and Jeff Fisher, director of financial aid, have retired. Philip has been vice chancellor since 2008 and from 2002 to 2008 was a vice president and executive dean at Lake Michigan College in Benton Harbor, Mich.
Fisher had been with the north central regional campus for Ivy Tech for several years.
The two retirements are part of a reduction in staff at Ivy Tech brought about by a statewide budget shortfall and the recent consolidation of the North Central campus in South Bend and the Northwest campus in Gary.
