Strongbow sold to Luke Oil Co.

VALPARAISO – Strongbow Inn, a 70-year-old landmark restaurant in Valparaiso has been sold by Russ and Nancy Adams to Luke Oil Co. Adams is the grandson of the restaurant’s founder, Bess Thrun.

Strongbow is known for its turkey and the business was started in the 1930s. The restaurant has 130 employees.

Luke Oil is a locally owned company based in Hobart. It was founded in 1967 by Ralph Luke and has 25 convenience stores in the region. It recently acquired County Line Orchards in Hobart.
