HAMMOND – Staff Source has moved its corporate headquarters. The move marks its third in its almost 20 years of business. Staff Source, awarded Best of the Region by Northwest Indiana Business Quarterly five of the past six years, helps people find jobs by connecting them with hiring companies in both temporary assignments and long term gainful employment.
“With Indiana’s unemployment rate at 3.6%, it is at a near all-time low. Companies are increasingly seeking assistance in their hiring effort which is the void we fill. Even if a company has its own human resource department, those HR departments are typically inundated with responsibilities above and beyond hiring. We have a team of hiring professionals who use cutting edge technology and focuses on recruiting and screening to find the right people to fill open positions who meet the skill sets and cultural needs of our client companies.” stated, President, Mirko Marich.
The technology Marich is referring to is multi-faceted and ranges from a library of testing systems to its sophisticated, proprietary software which maintains a database of employees and applicants populated daily. The database contains a pool of over 75,000 employees and applicants and categorizes them on skills, education, work history and experience. “When an applicant walk’s through our door, the first thing we do is search them in our database. If they’ve worked for us or applied with us, we instantly know of their past performance. We know whether they were a highly regarded employee or if they had an attendance problem or the like.” stated Patricia Austgen, Office Manager.
In addition to Staff Source, the newly renovated building at 7205 Indianapolis Boulevard in Hammond, will house its affiliate company’s offices of Contract Services Group, E360 Sport, and Technical Services Group. The companies maintain locations in Portage in Indiana, Chicago and Belvidere in Illinois, and Detroit in Michigan.
