CROWN POINT – Elkhart-based THINK City, a manufacturer of electric vehicles, presented cars to 13 communities during a ceremony at the Purdue Technology Center of Northwest Indiana.
Eleven of those communities are in Northwest Indiana – Cedar Lake, Chesterton, Crown Point, Dyer, Gary, Hammond, LaPorte, Michigan City, Schererville, South Bend and Whiting.
The vehicles were presented to the communities through funds from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act and a grant from South Shore Clean Cities.
