Invest in Others Charitable Foundation LogoTimothy Rice of Lakeside Wealth Management in Chesterton is among the finalists for the 2018 Invest in Others Awards.

The program, now in its 12th year, recognizes the charitable work of financial advisors and financial services firms across the country and around the world. The program has presented 57 awards, partnered with more than 155 charities, shared hundreds of inspirational stories, and donated more than $2 million to various charitable causes.

Rice is being recognized for his work with the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Northwest Indiana.

Megan McAuley, executive director and president of Invest in Others, said this year’s finalists have demonstrated an outstanding commitment to their communities through their passion, dedication and leadership.

“The non-profits they work with represent a range of causes, including youth development, poverty prevention, medical research, and much more,” she said.

Awards will be presented at the annual Invest in Others Awards Gala on Sept. 27 in Boston.

Financial advisors are nominated by their peers for actively giving back to non-profits to improve their communities and make a difference in the lives of others. A record-breaking number of nominations were received this year, the foundation said.

Finalists were selected based on their leadership, dedication, contribution, inspiration, and impact on a non-profit and the community it serves. The designated non-profits of award finalists and winners will receive donations up to $50,000 from Invest in Others.
