La Porte Jaycees Seek Arts Crafts Festival VendorsThe La Porte Jaycees Annual Arts & Crafts Festival has been the traditional kick off to the Jaycees 4th of July season in La Porte for many years. The festival will be Saturday, June 30th from 8am-1pm in the parking lot on the corner of State and Monroe Streets in La Porte. This event is in conjunction with the LaPorte Farmer’s Market sponsored by the City of La Porte’s Urban Enterprise Association.

The La Porte Jaycees are seeking artisans and crafters who would like to have a booth in the festival. Vendors must furnish their own display tables, chairs, and tents. Single spaces are 10×10. The Booth Fee is $35 for a single space if postmarked before June 15, and $50 for a single space if postmarked between June 16 and 23. Applications postmarked after June 23 WILL NOT be accepted.

Interested crafters can visit laportejaycees.org/4th/artscraftsfestival to see more information about the festival and download the booth application. Questions about the event can be directed to the event chairs Laura Ewart at lauracewart@gmail.com or Danielle Veverka at deveverka@gmail.com.

The Jaycees, also known as the Junior Chamber of Commerce, is an organization that provides leadership training opportunities for its members through the projects and programs the members plan, organize, and conduct in both the community and chapter. Young men and women ages 18 through 40 are eligible to be members. La Porte Jaycees projects focus on three major areas: Management Development (money-making projects and membership communication), Individual Development (leadership skills and social functions), and Community Development (youth, senior citizens, environment, and recreation).
