Health care and technology professions make up a majority of the 25 highest paying jobs in the country.
This is according to Glassdoor, an online recruiting and job search site, and its 25 Highest Paying Jobs in America for 2018 report released Aug. 15. Many of the top-paying jobs in Indiana are in the medical field, according to a search on the state-operated job website Indianacareerready.com.
Based on salary reports shared by employees with these jobs on Glassdoor during the past year, these jobs had the highest median salaries in the country:

Thirteen of Glassdoor's 25 highest paying jobs in America for 2018 are tech jobs, more than any other profession and up from 11 in 2017. There were five health care jobs on the list, down from six in 2017.
“The fact that employers are paying top dollar for many tech and health care jobs reinforces how demand for these valuable skillsets continues to outpace the supply of talent with these expertises,” said Amanda Stansell, an economic research analyst for Glassdoor. “We know that salary matters a lot to job seekers when determining where to work, but it should not be the only factor to consider.”
Glassdoor said employees believe company culture and values, career opportunities and trust in senior leadership matter most when it comes to keeping workers satisfied in their jobs long-term.
