CROWN POINT – A 2017 Economic Development and Growth Through Entrepreneurship (EDGE) Award for an established business was recently awarded to DVG Team Inc. of Crown Point. Presented by the Indiana Small Business Development Center (ISBDC), the award recognizes outstanding businesses as part of the Small Business Administration’s National Small Business Week.
Recipients of the EDGE Award have partnered with the ISBDC and are working together to grow Indiana’s economy. “In the past several years, DVG Team has had the privilege of working with the ISBDC to provide very valuable and vital information to formulate our growth strategy. Information provided by Gary Brownlee, business advisor for the NW-ISBDC, regarding business sector performance and individual business valuations were key factors in enabling us to complete our strategic mission for growth,” states Garry Aloia, principal, DVG Team. “We consider the ISBDC to be a part of our talented team and look forward to continued collaboration as we move forward in our plan to create additional high paying jobs for Indiana residents.”
DVG Team recently completed acquisitions in 2016 of Land Technologies, Inc. and Plumb Tuckett & Associates, Inc. Principals of the company are Jeff Ban, Garry Aloia, Doug Rettig & Glen Boren. In the past two years the company has increased revenue by over 300% and has more than tripled their professional staff. Both of these were key factors leading to their recognition by the Indiana Small Business Development Center.
