Northwest Indiana Business News LogoSOUTH LAKE COUNTY – Are you looking to volunteer? The 9th annual Volunteer Fair is the perfect place to start! Sponsored by the Crown Point Community Foundation, the Volunteer Fair will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 3 at Crown Point High School.

The Volunteer Fair gathers nonprofits throughout the area in one central location, letting potential volunteers meet and talk to dozens of charities in one convenient location. It’s a great chance to match your skills and interests to a worthy cause.

“Our Volunteer Fair is one of our largest and most anticipated events of the year,” said Mary Nielsen, President of the Crown Point Community Foundation. “It’s a great opportunity for area nonprofit organizations to meet potential volunteers face-to-face, share their mission as well as to build connections with other charities in our community.”

This year, attendees will have the opportunity to meet representatives from the following nonprofits:

In addition to the Volunteer Fair, there will be an onsite Blood Drive conducted by Heartland Blood Centers. Donors are encouraged to visit www.heartlandbc.org to schedule their preferred donation time. The blood will be used to help meet the critical needs of patients.
